Fading Design Trends of 2014
With 2015 bringing in exciting new design trends let us discuss the trends from 2014 that will not be carrying over to 2015. Zillow Digs announced the four soon-to-be forgotten fads of 2014. Take these in to consideration when planning your remodel with us.
The first 2014 trend designers polled by Zillow are steering clear of is chevron print. This pattern was wildly popular in 2014 and due to its overuse in design and fashion, designers are expecting chevron to take a backseat in 2015.
Coral, purple and teal are on their way out with 2014. Designers find saturated colors like these are hard to work with in design and cohesion. Bright colors are fun and cheery but quickly become stale. No reason to throw out all your bright fun colors but use them in small pops that are easily changed out, thinks pillows and vases. Stay away from putting these colors on your walls or choosing chair fabrics in these colors.
Solid Painted Accent Walls
Wallpaper is the new accent wall for 2015 so expect to see solid painted colored walls fading out of the design scene in 2015.
